בעירנו עשה פעמים אחדות מטעם מפלגת התאחדות, שהשתתפה בכל הבחירות לעירית בנדץ ולקהילה, בהן היו מיוצגים נבחריה: עו״ד ד״ר רכטמן ומשה רוזנקר (בישראל) וישראל גרטנר שנספה. כדי להבטיח את נצחונה בבחירות למוסדות העיר, הוזמנו לבנדין מנהיגי המפלגה, ובכללם אברהם לוינסון. כרגיל היו עורכים לכבודו קבלות־פנים במועדון המפלגה ובבתי החברים, והיה מנעים האוירה בבדיחות־הדעת ובמנגינות עממיות ולאומיות. ...Source passage 2
