אהרי שרבי ליב מאהירוב עזב את הרבנות בחמילניק,
מצאו ראשי הקהלה שהגיע הזמן לעשות את השיגוי גם בשיטת
החסידות הלובלינאית הקײמת מאז השפעתו של רבי ישכר־בר
מרארושיץ ולהחליפה בשיכת פשיסחה־קוצק, וגם להושיב על
כםא הרבנות אחר הרבנים מבית מדרשו של הקוצקאי. היה
זה בנו של רבי ישראל־ליב סילמן׳ הוא ר׳ אברהם יצחק
שנבחר לרב בחמילניק עוד לפני כשמונים שנה, שהיה מחםידי
קוצק. רבי אברהם יצחק היה צעיר מאד בעת בחירתו לרב
