הרוב הגדול של ה,הורודצ'וקים", היה נוסע באביב לירידים לשם מכירת חמרי-זריעה,
בקיץ היה נוסע על פני כל הארץ ומוכר גלידה, בסתיו -- דומדמניות, פטריות ומגפיים. בחורף היה
יושב בית ועוסק בסנדלרות. כדאי לציין שהם נהגו, ככל האפשר, להמנע מתיווך ומתווכים :
לצרכי הסנדלרות, היו מעבדים בעצמם את חומר הגלם, ובמקרה הגרוע ביותר, קנו אותו ממקור
ראשון. את תוצרתם היו מביאים לירידים בכל רחבי פולין למכירה. כך נהגו גם במסחר הבשר
והנקניק. הם היו עוברים את כפרי הסביבה, קונים בשר, מעבדים אותו לנקניק ומוכרים אותו.
