... היה למדען ידוע. םפרו שו״ת ״תשואות חן״ הנו םפר למוד. בין נותני ההסכמה לספריו נמצא גם הרב יחיאל מיכל הלפרין ממזריטש. רב שמשון חבר גם את ״מנחם העומר״ ב־2 חלקים; חלקו הראשון בנוי מ־42 דרשות על אגדות המופיעות בש״ם ובמדרשים. החלק השני נקרא ״יעלת חן׳ / מורכב מחידושים לש״ם. בהקדמה לםפר הנ״ל כותב הוא שיש לו םפר בכתב יד שהוא קורא לו ״אלף מגן״, המתאר אלף בעױת בהלכה ואגדה. כנראה הפך רב זליק להיות רב ה ש ל ברדזין אחרי רבנותו בלוקוב. אחר ױ היתה הפםקה ארוכה ורק בשנת תרל״ח (1884) נזכר שוב הרב של לוקוב: ...
