בהשפעתה השתדלו זאמויסקי וזולקיבסקי בסיימים
להתנגד להקמת קולגיון של הישועים.
ב־ 15 בינואר 1604 התקיים מושב בית-הדין
בראשותו של המלך. היהודים הוכיחו שקנו את
המגרשים ודודיעו שהם דורשים מקומות־מגורים
חדשים ופיצויים בסך 100.000 מארק. קשה היה מעמדם
של נציגי העיר, שטענו שצרכי ההגנה והביצורים
הכריחום למכור את המגרשים שהיו פנויים זמן רב,
ומכיון שלא נמצא שום קונה אחר, היו מוכרחים
למכרם ליהודים. בסוף הראו למלך את הפריבילגיה
של קאזימירז הגדול שהעניק לכל תושבי העיר
את החוק המגדבורגי, ואת חוזי המכירה והקניה ודוח
