ע״פ תביעותיהם החוזרות של היהודים, מינה המלך
ב־30 ביוני 1664 ועדת־חקירה. הרכב הועדה היה: שני
אצילים, שני סנטורים, שני כמרים ומזכיר המלך.
הועדה קבעה, שהעיריה אשמה בהזנחת הגנת היהודים
ובהשתוללות הפורעים. העיריה טענה שהאחראים
לפרעות הם תלמידי בית־הספר הישועים בלבד, ואילו
להגנת היהודים נשלחו פלוגותיו של טרנבסקי. אמנם,
פלוגות אלו לא הועילו, אך בכך אין להאשים את
הע״ריה. וכי מלבד יהודים, נהרגו בפרעות אלו גם
נוצרים. הועדה לא הושפעה ע״י טענות העיריה
והמשיכה בגבית־עדויות, ובגמר החקירה הועבר כל
החומר לבית־הדין המלכותי. מאחורי הפרגוד נפוצו
שמועות שהיהודים שיחדו את חברי הועדה, אך לא

... ליהודי הפרברים היה אסור כל מסחר ותעסוקה,
ואחרי שערערו הוציא בית־הדין המלכותי בוארשה
ב־14 בפברואר 1713 פסק־דין, שאין ליהודים הרשות
לחתום על חוזה עם העיר ומסחרם צומצם רק לארבעה
סוגים בלבד, ויתר הסחורות יוחרמו. קומיסרים מיוחדים
