ב־14 במאי 1772 נכנסו הפלוגות הראשונות של
הצבא האוסטרי לפולין, מעבר לקרפטים והתקדמו
לסטרי, נד 21 ביוני 1772 זזו חטיבות אוסטריה מגבול
שלזיה ובמחצית ספטמבר "נכבשה" לבוב בלי שום
התנגדות מצד העיר. הצבא הרוסי, שהחזיק כאן משנת
1764 פלוגות בפיקודו של הגנרל קמינסקי, מסר את
העיר למפקד האוסטרי שרדר. ב־19 בספטמבר 1772
נכנסו האוסטרים בפיקודו של הגנרל האדיק ומיד
נתמנה הרוזן אנטון פרגן (פערגען), שהיה שנים מספר
ציר אוסטריה במאינץ ובלודון, למנהל האדמיניסטרציה
בחבל החדש, שנקרא גליציה ולודומיריה. ב־4 לאוקטו-
בר 1772 קבל בלבוב תפקיד של נציב (גוברנ״ור)
בגליציה. לאחר ששלטונות אוסטריה ביצעו את הסי-
דורים האדמיניסטרטיביים הראשונים 1), החליטו לערוך
ב־29 בדצמבר 1773 חגיגות בכל הארץ, בהן ימסרו
התושבים שבועת־אמונים לקיסרית ולממלכת אוסטיי ה
לפי סדר ה: 1) הכמורה; 2) האצולה בעלת־הנכסים
(פאסעסיאנאטא); 3) ערים; 4) עיירות וכפרים 5)
קהילות יהודיות. בחגיגות שנקראו ..חאמאגיום" ("איי ד
דער אונטערטאנ ס אונ ד וואסאלענטרויע") היה צריך
כל אחד מהנ״ל להישבע שבועת אמונים לחוד. ...Connected nodes
