... בשנת 1543 שיחרר המלך את היהודים מתשלום
מכס באופן שווה לשאר התושבים הנוצרים. למרות
שיפור זה הראתה מועצת העיר את שנאתה ליהודים
בהחלטתה משנת 1534 שנוצרי, הטוען במשפט כסניגור
לצדו של יהודי יהא מוחרם. באותה החלטה נקבע
שנוצרים קטולים ישבעו בבית המשפט, ארמנים
ורותנים בכנסיותיהם, אך יהודי ישבע לפי התקנון
של בולסלב משנת 1264, ז״א עטוף טלית ו״קיטל",
כשהוא עומד יחף על כסא ומקבל על עצמו קללות
