ולא היו אלה המחנות הראשונים שהוקמו בלבוב
וסביבותיה. אחדים נוסדו עוד לפני ה־15 לאוקטובר
1941. מחנה־עבודה קטן (ל־30 עד 60 פועל) נתארגן
עוד בחודש יולי 1941 ברחוב הרבורטוב. מחנה גדול
ממנו היה קיים בחרה עירונית הסמוכה ללבוב,
סוקולניקי. היהודים עבדו שם באדמת־ביצות ובריכות־
