... בראש הקהילה עמדו שמואל הורוויץ, וד״ר אמיל
ביק. את עניני ועד־החינוך ניהל ד״ר שמואל שאף.
שלשתם השתדלו להרחיב את פעולות הקהילה במוסדות
צדקה וסעד. נוסד ועד־נשים בראשות גב׳ ד״ר אדלה
אינלנדר, שדאג להמציא לתלמידים בני עניים הלבשה
הנעלה ומזון. בהשתדלות הקהילה הוציאה הממשלה
ב־17 ביוני 1888 חוק, שלפיו קבלו מורי־הדת את
משכרתם מן הממשלה או המדינה. ב־1 בדצמבר 1889
הוצא חוק, שקבע את הסדר ודירוג מורי־הדת בבתי־
הספר העממיים. במקומו של ד״ר איגנאץ נוסיג נכנס
לתפקיד מזכיר הקהילה ד״ר פשס. ...Connected nodes
