ר׳ זיידל רובנר נולד בברדומישל (רוסיה) בשנת
1856. במסעו מאנגליה לרוסיה לחג הפסח 1904, התעכב
בלבוב ונתמנה לחזן ביהכ״ג בחוץ־לעיר, ושם נשאר
עד שנת 1911 חזר לפיי בקשת קהלת רובנה (ולפיכך
נקרא "רובנר") ונשאר שם חזן כשלוש שנים. אחר־
כך עבר לאמריקה, שם ישב עד פטירתו. ...Source passage 2

כיהן כחזן בקרלין־פינסק, והשני בא מקונסטנטין
שברוסיה ללבוב ונתקבל בבית־הכנסת בחוץ־לעיר
אחרי ר׳ זיידל רובנר. תקופת כהונתו בלבוב היתה
מצויינת בתולדות החזנות בעיר. שלושה חזנים גדולים
כהנו אז בלבוב: ברוך שור בביהכנ״ס העירוני, ברוך
קינסטלר בביהכנ״ס בחוץ־לעיר, ויצחק צבי הילפרן
