כן כיהן ברבנות לבוב חוץ־לחומה, מלבוב הלך
למלאות מקום ה״מגלה עמוקות" כריש־מתיבתא
בקרקא, כאשר בא ר׳ יום־טוב ליפמן הלר בעל
"תוספות יום־טוב (רי״ט) לקרקא נתמנה רי״ט כריש־
מתיבתא שני לר׳ יהושע, ובהיות ר׳ יהושע עשיר ולא
קיבל משכורת מהקהל ובעוד שרי״ט אבד רכושו
