אגודת הסוחרים (קונפראטערניא), שהוקמה
בלבוב בשנת 1767, ותקנותיה אושרו ע״י המלך
סטניסל ב פוניאטובסקי ב־26 בספטמבר 1767, כדי
להבטיח לחבריה את יתרונות היבוא, המשיכה להתנגד
למסחר היהודי, שראו בו גורם מזיק. ביהוד היו
הסוחרים מעונינים שהיבוא שהיהודים מקבלים מחוץ־
לארץ — פרנקפורט ע/מ, דנציג, לייפציג, ברסלוי,
הונגריה — לא ימכר בקמעונות אלא בסיטונות,
לסוהרים העירוניים הנוצרים. לפי הצעתם צריך היה
להחרים את הסחורה מן העבריינים, מחציתה לאוצר
