ואחינו בתפוצות, להנציח זכרם של קדושינו ולדאוג שלא תישכח
שואתה של עיירת מולדתנו. בהר ציון הותקנה טבלת זכרון, בין
מאות שמותיהן של קהילות ישראל שהוכחדו בשואה. ארגון יוצאי
סקאלה בארה״ב תרם סכום נכבד למרפאת קופת־חולים בנתניה,
והתרומה הונצחה בטבלת זכרון מתאימה. בספר
"לאנדסמאנשאפטן אין ישראל" פרסמנו מאמר־זכרון ובו תולדות
עיירתנו מראשיתה עד השמדתה. בבית העלמין בחולון בחלקת
המצבות להנצחת זכרן של קהילות ישראל שנספו בשואה, הקמנו
גל־עד לקדושי סקאלה וכפרי הסביבה. בית־חינוך תיכון ע״ש ברל
כצנלסון בכפר־סבא אימץ את קהילתנו בתעודת הנצחה
שהופקדה ב״יד ושם" בירושלים. כך נהג גם בית הספר היסודי ע״ש
שבאזי במושבה אבן יהודה, שבו סיפרתי, בסידרת הרצאות לפני
שנים, לילדי בית הספר, רובם ככולם יוצאי תימן, על סקאלה,
יהודיה, חייה ומותה. ילדים יקרים אלה התרשמו עמוקות
מהטרגדיה הנוראה שפקדה את אחיהם בגולה הרחוקה, חיברו
שירים, כתבו סיפורים וציירו מדמיונם תמונות ממראה העיירה ...Source passage 2

״פארווערטס״ הניו־יורקי. משנת 1921 ניהל את הסניף הוינאי של
״איטא״ (הסוכנות הטלגרפית היהודית) ומשנת 1935 ניהל את
