ה״יודנראט" עשה מאמצים נואשים להקל על סבלותינו על ידי משלוח מזון ושתדלנות אצל הגסטאפו דרך ה״יודנראט" המחוזי. משא ומתן זה נמשך זמן רב מאד. סוף־סוף ניצלו מצפורני הגסטאפו אחד־עשר אנשים, על ידי מתן שוחד וכופר נפש עצום, והאחרים, אשר בינתיים נוספו אליהם עוד כמה עשרות יהודים מעיירות אחרות, נשלחו למחנה העבודה. עוד נמשכת צרה זו והנה הוטלה גזירה נוספת. בסוף חודש יוני נדרש ה״יודנראט" לשלוח שבעים וחמש נערות לעבודה במחנה ליד העיר יגלניצה. ה״יודנראט" טען כי אין כלל נשים פנויות לעבודה מחוץ לעיירה. נמצאו שש בחורות במקום המספר הגדול הנ״ל ואז ערך הגרא חיפושים בלילה אחד ואסף, ללא אבחנה, יותר נשים מהמספר הנדרש. שוב משא ומתן ושוב תשלום כופר־נפש ואעפ״כ לא היה מנוס מלשלוח עשרים בחורות למחנה העבודה. ...Connected nodes
