הוא בית מגורינו. לפני הבית גנת פרחים. במרחק
שלשים מטר היתה מסלת־הברזל. בשעות קבועות עברה
רכבת, פעם בכיוון ביליסטוק ופעם לגרודנה. לראות
את הרכבת כשהיא עוברת היה מעניין, השתדלו שלא
לאחר זאת. על בואה היו מודיעים זה לזה. חויות
מיוחדות היו לפרבר, שונות מן החויות בעיר. בחורף
כל השטח כוסה שלג וכאילו נדם הכל, ובקיץ חיי הפרבר
