השניה למד בבית־הספר העממי , ועם כניסת הגרמנים לעיר
חיה בה , יחד עם משפחתו , תחת עול הכובש האכזרי . בשנת 1943 ,
עם ההשמדה הכללית של יהודי הסביבה , נספתה משפחתו והוא ,
יחד עם צעירי המקום , נשלחו למחנה־ריכוז בגרמניה , ואחר־כך
הועברו למחנה בוכנואלד . היה מחברי המחתרת במחנה , ותוך כדי
עבודתו כסניטאר עסק בהברחת נשק לצרכי התגוננות . בגמר
מלחמודהעולם עלה לארץ בספינת־מעפילים , והיה חניך עלית־
הנוער בירושלים וכפר הנוער בן־שמן , בו השתלם במסגרות . בגמר
ביודהספר עבר לתל־אביב ועבד במקצועו . גויס ונשלח לחטיבת
