בסוף תקי״ץ תרס״א עזב את פולין, לפי דרישת בנו שישב באמריקה, ונסע לניו יורק. אף שם נרתם מיד בעול "המזרחי". עמד בקשרי מכתבים עם עסקני "המזרחי" בבנדין. נתמנה מורה בבית־ספר ללימודי קודש, כינס אספות ברובעים שונים של נידיורק, נבחר ציר לועידה הארצית השנתית (השמינית) של "המזרחי" באמריקה, בנשיאותו של הרב מאיר ברלין. היה פעיל ברובע הארלם, ועזר להרחבת השפעת "המזרחי" ולריבוי מספר חבריו, קיבל פני אורחים מאירופה (ובהם אדמו״ר "המזרחי" רבי מנדיל לנדוי מזאבירצ׳ה), עמד בקשרים עם הרב ברלין ועם מנהיגי "המזרחי" באמריקה, הופיע בנאומים בבתי כנסיות והתפרסם כנואם עממי. בכל מכתביו הדגיש שאיפתו לציון. ...Connected nodes
