... והם עלו. ששה חברים היו. יצאו מבנדין לאוסטריה. עברו
גבולין של ארצות מתהפכות ונלחמות, באו לפשמישל, משם רצו
ללכת ללבוב ולא מצאו רכבת, הדרך נפסקה. בפשמישל שלטו
הפולנים ובלבוב האוקראינים, והם הלכו ברגל ששים קילומטר.
ללבוב באו בלילה. חלק מהעיר היה עוד בידי הפולנים ומשמרת
של הלגיון הפולני עיכבה אותם. בתחבולות שונות השתחררו, עברו
לרחוב אחר והנה משמרת הלגיונות של האוקראינים מעכבת אותם.
