היינו שומעים בדממת הלילה זעקות בוקעות מן הקרונות: "שמע
ישראל, הצילו!״. היו אלה זעקות המובלים להשמדה. 100—120
איש מצופפים היו בקרון של בהמות. רבים מתו בדרך, מחמת הדחק.
