ברױביאץ שוחררנו ללא כל הםבר והחילונו להתפזר. אני
שכרתי עגלה ויחד עם קבוצת יהודים נםענו במשך כל הלילה
עד הגיענו ללובלין. בלובלין הורגשה אוירה עכורד,: העיד
היתה במצור, אין ױצא ואין בא. לשוא חיפשתי אפשרות לקבל
רשױן יציאה מן העיר. אולם לאחר מאמץ רב, שהיה מלװה
בשוחד הגון, קבלתי את הרשױן המבוקש• עליתי על רכבת
שלאנשי צבא, ונםעתי לקרקוב. בקרקוב הזהירוני היהודים, כי
כל יהודי שײתפם שאינו מן המקום, ױמת. אחרי שעה קלה
הפגיתי את פני לחמילניק. בשובי לשמה נוכחתי לדעת כי
לעײרה נתװספו שוב יהודים שברחו מערים אחרות בםביבה.
לפרקים נראה היה כי כל ההמון הזה נוהר לחמלניק בגייל
המצב, שאחר ככלות הבל היה בה טוב ױתר מאשר בערים
הגדולות. בחמילגיק פתחתי, בשותפות עם אחי, חנות לצרכי
