ליל 11 בפבואר 1941. הנני בין האסירים שנאסרו בעיירה באותו לילה. אנו מתחילים לנחש
את סיבת המאסר. אחרי מובלים שמואל צ'ציק וקופל מורבצ'יק -- הרקע פוליטי. לפתע מופיע
גם ברנצ'וק. עצבנות ופחד תוקפים אותנו. אהרן מורבצ'יק פורץ בבכי וברנצ'וק מעודדו :
,עוד תזרח השמש שוב בשבילינו"*הרי חטאנו הוא רק על היותנו ציונים. לא חטאנו במאומה נגד
הסובייטים. הנני בטוח בשחרורנו" סיים ואמר. לאחר סיום החקירה הועברנו מתאי החקירות אל
בית-הסוהר המרכזי בפינסק -- ושוב נפגשנו. התא היה מלא אסירים ודווקא בין הגרועים ביותר.
