מן התעלות במעלה הגבעה שליד סרני -- מטרה מצוינת לרוביהם של הגרמנים. פייגלה נפצעה.
תוך כדי ריצה שמעתי קריאה : ,טאכטער, לויף! עד היום איני יודעת אם היה זה קולה של אמא.
על-כל-פנים מאז לא ראיתיה. הגענו לנהר ושטפתי את פצעה של פייגלה. כל הלילה צעדנו שתינו
לבדנו ביער -- מלווים רק ביעותים ומראות פחדים. בבוקר ראינו בית ביער -- ונכנסנו לתוכו.
רגלה של פייגלה צבתה והיא שכבה על ספה ונרדמה. יצאתי קצת לתור את הסביבה וגיליתי
יהודים. משחזרתי אל פייגלה -- אמרו לי בני-הבית כי הלכה עם רועי הצאן. אח"כ סיפרה לי
מורת הכפר קרסין, כי פייג'לה נלקחה אל היער, הושכבה על הארץ וגויים דרסוה באופנים --
