בימי הרב ר' וולף, היה מעשה ביהודי בן העיירה, שנהג לצאת מביתו בראשון בשבת בבוקר,
חוזר על כפרי הגויים כל ימות השבוע -- ושב לביתו בחמישי בשבת בערב. יום חמישי אחד,
לא חזר כאשר הורגל -- ונתמלאו בני ביתו דאגה. המתינו עד הבוקר של יום ששי -- ולא בא.
היתה החמה קרובה להסתלק והשבת בפתח -- והוא איננו. הלכו אצל הרב ר' וולף -- ואותה שעה
כבר הלכו יהודים לבית-הכנסת להקביל את פני השבת -- ופקד הרבי לומר קדיש! נעשה רעש
גדול, סגרו את בית-הכנסת ולא נתנו לאיש להתפלל, ואף הטיחו בפניו של הרבי, שמעיז הוא
פנים כנגד הרמב"ם. נכנסה הרבנית אצלו ואמרה: -- ראה מה עוללת ! -- מה אעשה ? -- השיב
-- רואה אני מה שראה הרמב"ם. הן שוכב הוא, מחוץ לעיירה, מתחת לעץ פלוני. ...Connected nodes
