פעילותו הציונית. הוציא בכתב עלונים, בהם עודד את היהודים
לאמונה בגאולה ונטע בהם את עיקרי הציונות. העביר מכתבים
למחנות שונים ובהם דברי עידוד שהפיחו אמונה בנוער; בא
במגע עם שבויים רוסיים והשתתף בתכנית לפיצח הקרמטוריום.
מאושוויץ הועבר למחנות אחרים. בהיותו קרוב לאפיסת־כוחות
גמורה, הגיע הצבא האמריקני למחנה ושיחררהו. לאחר שחזר
לאיתנו עבד זמן מה בבולשת הצבא האמריקני, ועזר בגלוי פושעי
המלחמה הנאציים. על אף מצבו החמרי הטוב וסיכוייו לקבל היתר־
כניסה לאמריקה, ויתר על עבודתו בשאיפתו לארץ־ישראל. בעיר
אשבך יסד יחד עם חבריו את אחד הקיבוצים הראשונים של
״נוחם דתי״ בגרמניה. בדצמבר 1945 יצא מהאזור האמריקני לברגן־
בלזן ומשם לגבול הגרמני־בלגי כדי להגיע לריכוז חלוצי ולהפליג
לארץ באניות העפלה. נעצר ונחבל בבית האסורים בהמבורג, החזיק
מעמד ולא גילה את סודות הבריחה. הגיע לארץ באניה "כ״ג",
נתפס והוגלה לקפריסין. בראשית 1947 בא לארץ והצטרף לכפר־עציון.Connected nodes
