ההופעה האחרונה לפני הציבור בבנדין היתה ב־1939, ליום השנה ה־17 לפטירתו של א. ד. גורדין, בתיאטרת "נובושצ׳י". פתח אנזלביץ ואחריו השלים יושב־ראש ה״התאחדות" בבנדין. הפרנס משה רוזנקר (ישראל). יעקב אורי מנהל לספר בהרצאתו זכרונות מפגישותיו עם א. ד. גורדין. החלק האמנותי שכלל מערכות: "חניתא", "יהודים בארצם העצמאית", "על קברי חברי גורדוניה בקבוצת מעלה החמישה", דיקלומים וריקודים ריטמיים, עורר תשואות־חן וקורת רוח מרובה. ...

... רבה היתה התכונה לאזכרה שנערכה בתיאטרון "נובושצ׳י" וכללה נאומים, דקלומים, נגינה, זמרה ו״תמונות חיות". "מסמר" האקדמיה היה הפטמן, שנאם נאום ציוני מלהיב ושובה־לב. השראת־ חג היתה נסוכה על הקהל העצום שעקב בהתענינות אחר המתרחש על הבמה ועשה אזניו כאפרכסת לדברי המרצה.
