לידי רבי יחזקאל לנדא, דנהו לשריפה. אף קײם בעצמו את פסק דינו וקנה את כל המהדורה ושרפה ברחוב העיר פראג. הדבר נודע לתלמידו של המחבר, רבי יעקב שמשון משיפי־ טובקה, והלה נםע לםראג והתװכח עם הרב שעה ארוכה עד שגצחו, והצליח להצדיק את שיטת הבעש״ט בפני טענותױ של רבי יחזקאל, ואז הדפים ר׳ יעקב ױםף את ספרו שנית באותה השנה בקוריץ7. הויכוח נדפם בקונטרס מױחד בשם ״דברי נועם (ורשד״ תרג״ב).
