הרב ומפי אחױ הגדולים שחבבוהו ושמו בו עיניהם לטובה.
בהױתו בן ארבע־חמש מהרו להכניםו לעולה של תורה.
כשגדל קצת למד מפי אבױ וגם מפי אחױ, שהמשיכו לשחות
אתו בעודנו רך בים התלמוד. גם אצלו נתגלו כשרונות בלתי
מצוײם, שהפליאו את כל יודעױ, והוא הלך והתפתח באוירה
של תורה ויראה. עוד משחר נעורױ כבר היה בנין־אב לרבים
