רא״ש ישב באוזירוב על כם הרבנות והצדיקות כעשרים

ענױת רבות השתרגו על ראשי יהודי רוםיה ופולין, ובעיקר
סבלו היהודים שישבו םמוך לגבול פרוסיה־גרמניד״ שהױ
צפוײם לגרוש מטעם שלטונות .צבא רוםיה בתואנה שהיהודים
מרגלים לטובת הגרמנים — לפנים המדינה, במרחק רב מערי
מגוריהם. תלאות המלחמה נגעו גם לעצמו ובשרו של רא״ש,
ולא פעם נשקפה לו סכנת המות׳ והוא לא נפל ברוחו, האמין
