פארשידן איז געװען דאם לעבן אין כמיעלניק. אנדערש האבן געלעבט די בעלי־מלאכות, אנדערש די גבירים. עם זעגען דא קײנמאל נישט געװען קײן גרויסע בילדונגס־ אנשטאלטן, אבער דער פרומער טאטע האט געשיקט זײן זון אין חדר, נאך דעם אין בית המדרש, און אט פון דעם בית המדרש זענען ארוים די אינטעליגענטן. אין בית המדרש האט מען טאקע געלערנט משנױת׳גמרא, אבער פיל פון די בית־מדרשניקעס האבן באהאלטעגערהײט געלעזן םאקאלאװם ״הצפירה״ אדער באהאלטן אונטער די לאנגע קאפאטעם שפינאזאס ״עטיק״, סמאלעגםקינם װערק אוןאנדערע ביכער. ס׳האט זײ געװעקט צו עפעם העכערם, בעםערם, שענערם. זעגען טאקע פון דעם בית המדרש ארויסגעקומען אזעלכע פײנע אינטעליגענטן װי ישכר קאנערצוקער, אברהם זיל־ גערבערג, מאטל צוקערמאן. זײ האבן טאקע געשאפן די צױניםטישע ארגאניזאציע אין כמיעלניק. נאך דעם האבן זיך געשאפן אנדערע ארגאניזאציעם, װי דער השומר הצעיר, רעכטע און לינקע פועלי צױן. ס׳האבן װאם אמאל מער זיך אנטװיקלט די פארטײען, פיל האט דאם געװירקט פאר דעם צױניסטישן געדאנק, װײל פון דער בעסטער ױגנט זענען א םך אװעק קײן ארץ־ישראל אלס ערשטע פיאניערן.
