אביב 1932. רוב הנוער מאורגן בתנועות-הנוער הציוניות, הבוגרים ברובם רשומים
במפלגות הציוניות, ואנו מחליטים להפגין במשותף את כוחנו בעיירה בהפגנה עצומה, שתיערך
בל"ג בעומר. הוזמנו גם תנועות-הנוער מן העיירות הסמוכות סטולין ולכווה. כמעט כל יהודי
העיירה השתתפו בהפגנה, שבראשה צעדו תלמידי בית-הספר: אחריהם צעדו חברי המפלגות
ותנועות-הנוער על דגליהן. היתה זו תמונה מרהיבת עין. דגלי הלאום התנוססו באויר, החולצות
והעניבות בלטו מכל עבר. לאחר כמה נאומים, שהושמעו ממרפסת ביתו, של מרדכי רימר בשוק.
פתחנו בהורה. ברנצ'וק שעמד במקרה על ידי, סח לי בהתרגשות : ,הרי זו תל-אביב ולא דויד-
