בטוחים יותר בערים אחרות ובעיקר בלבוב. לאלה הצטרפו פעילי
תנועות הנוער הציוניות שחששו, ובצדק, מפני רדיפות מצד
הקומוניסטים. ב־25 בדצמבר 1939 נפלה על 17 משפחות יהודיות
גזירת ה״נאציונאליזאציה" (הלאמה). ללא כל התראה מוקדמת
וללא נתינת רשות לקחת עמם משהו מרכושם ואפילו מבגדיהם,
גורשו כמה עשרות נפשות מבתיהם, וכל רכושם הוחרם. רובם לא
היו אפילו עשירים. אף פולני, אף אוקראיני לא נפגע־ אם כי היו
ביניהם משפחות יותר מבוססות ואמידות מה־״מולאמים"
היהודים. כמה וכמה יהודים גם נעצרו, כמקובל בבריה״מ, בחשכת
הלילה ועקבותיהם נעלמו, ללא דין וללא משפט. באפריל 1940
נאסרו בני משפחותיהם של האסירים וכמה משפחות מבין
"המולאמים" נשלחו לסיביר. מקרה טראגי ומוזר כאחד חרות
בזכרונם של שרידי העיירה: יהודי בשם מוטיל פיש נאסר בשלהי
שנת 1939 על ידי המשטרה הסובייטית ונעלם לתקופה ארוכה.
אשתו ותינוקו נאסרו ונשלחו לסיביר. כעבור חודשים מספר
שוחרר האיש לאחר שאפילו לבולשביקים התברר כי חף הוא מכל
פשע. פיש החל לטפל בהחזרת אשתו וילדו. מאמציו נמשכו עד יוני
1941 ־ ולשוא. פרצה המלחמה, הוא נספה בשואה ואילו אשתו ובנו
