באות ויום חג, זמן־שמחתנו, נעו כל יהודי סוקולקה
לעבר הגיטו. הגרמנים הרשו ליהודים לקחת אתם

מקרים היו הגרמנים בעומדם ליד השער בודקים בחפצי

הצפיפות בגיטו היתה איומה. הגרמנים חשבו ומצאו
שבשביל כל נפש יהודית מספיק שטח של 2 מ״מר,
ואמנם, בחדרים קטנים הצטופפו 16 אנשים, ויש שהיו
מרוצים בכניסתם לגיטו נהיה מרוחקים מעיני שכינינו
הטובים, שכ ה צחקו על משבתנו. בתוך כתלי הגיטו
הסגורים לא יוכלו העינים הנוקמות של הפולנים לראות
את עלבוננו אך טעו הללו שחשבו, שבהכנסתם לגיטו
תבוא הפוגה. תפיסת אנשים לעבודה נמשכה בכל
תקפה. כאשר כסה השלג את הכביש סוקולקה־קרינקי
היו היהודים צריכים לנקותו. ואפילו נשים יהודיות לוקחו
