אין יאר 1941, װען איך בין געקומען קײן קרים, האב איו
געטראפן שמואל װײנבערג װוינען צוזאמען מיט שמואל
קויפמאן. בײ געװיםע כמיעלניקער פליטים זענען שײן
דעמאלט געװען בעםערע צײטן. שמואלן האב איך אבער
געטראפן בלאס, מאגער, אויסגעפײניקט. כ׳בין געװען דער־
שטוינט, כ׳האב אים געפרעגט, צי האט זיך דאם אלץ געלזינט -י'
ער האט מיר נישט געעגטפערט, אויף זײנע ליפן האט זיך
באװיזן א שמײכל און נאך א פאר מינוט קלערן האט ער
געזאגט : ״אװי מוז עם זײן, עם װעט גוט זײן״. ער האט זיך
פאראינטערעסירט מיט אונדז׳ געמאכט באמיאונגען איז איר
בין אריץ ארבעטן אין דער זעלבער פאבריק וװ ער האט
געארבעט אלם שלאםער־מעבאגיקער. ער האט געפירט א
