... גסענו לקרקוב. 10 ק״מ לפני קרשניק חנו הגרמנים. הדרך
לקרשניק היתה שוממה. הסתכלנו בםקרנות במאות בתי־עץ
הפזורים על פני הםביבה ללא נפש חיה בהם. לפתע פגשו בנו
הגרמנים. הם שאלוני לזהותנו ואמרתי להם שאנו פולנים.
לאחר שעזבונו לנפשנו המשכנו לקרשניק. חנינו כדי לאפשר
לסוסים להחליף כוח. בעיר זו היה עדײן מםפר ניכר של יהודים
אשר התהלכו מבוהלים ומהם נודע לי על זװעות הגרמנים
