... בשנת תרנ״ח (1898) עמדה ה״מרכז הציוני לקורספונ- דנציה״ בקישינוב בחליפת-מכתבים עם 19 אגודות בפלך גרודנה, וביניהן נזכר גם השם סוקולקה. בה היו שלוש אגודות: "חובבי-ציון", "צעירי-ציון", "בנות-ציון". התפקידים שהוטלו על האגודה היו: הרחבת התנועה על-ידי הפצת שקלים ומניות של "אוצר התישבות היהודים (הקולוניאל-בנק), איסוף תרומות לקק״ל ול״ועד האודיסאי" של חובבי-ציון, איסוף ספרים לספ- ריה הלאומית בירושלים.
