בםתױ 1941 גורשו יהודי פלוצק וחלק מהם הועבר לחמילניק. היתה זו קבוצה גדולד״ למעלה מאלף גברים, נשים וטף. כמעט כולם באו בעירום ובחוםר כל. מן הצורך היה לתת להם בגדים, וקורת גג לראשם. אבל אנו בעצמנו חײם בצפיפות אױמה ; כל משפחה חמילניקאית קולטת אחדים מבין הפליטים האלה ; מקימים מטבחי־עזרה למרות שאין שבכוחנו להאכיל את הענײם הרבים בחמילגיק עצמה. התזונה הבלתי מםפקת והצפיפות גורמות למחלות. פורצת מגיפת טיפום אױמה, ובגיטו שלנו יש לנו מדי יום ביומו 6 — 5 מתים♦ ...
