אחרי שלום ריגה בין רוסיה ופולין, כשהוקל קצת המצב הצבאי בעיר, התחיל הנוער שוב
להתענין בפעולה הציונית. ואז אירע המאסר בביתנו: היה זה בשנת 1921. הגבול בינינו ובין
רוסיה היה סגור ומסוגר היטב, עם זאת, הצליחו כמה מאנשי דויד-הורודוק, שנשארו ברוסיה,
לחזור הביתה, ובין החוזרים גם אברהם דורצין הי"ד, שלמד באוניברסיטה בקיוב. הוא היה
בין החברים אמרכזיים בתנועה הציונית, וכבר ב-1917 היה חבר צעירי-ציון. אנו הצעירים,
רצינו לשמוע מפיו על הנעשה ברוסיה, ובעיקר על המתרחש בתנועה הציונית. קשה היתה
באותם הימים מלחמתו הפנימית של הנוער היהודי. ציונות או קומוניזם? -- זו היתה השאלה.
בשנים הראשונות למהפכה, קסמה לנוער היהודי האפשרות לנקום בפורעים, ובשונאי ישראל
למיניהם, בעזרת הקומוניסטים. המהפכה, אף פתחה שדה פעולה נרחב, למען מעמד הפועלים
והסוציאליזם. עם זאת, היה הדבר כרוך בטמיעה ודאית ומוחלטת באוקינוס הגדול של עמי רוסיה.Connected nodes
