הורדו והוטמנו, שלא יפלו בידי הגרמנים. בלילה נשמעו יריות תותחים. אולם, הגרמנים,
שכבשו את פינסק ב-16 בספטמבר 1915 -- נשארו שם ולא התקדמו. עבר חודש ימים והחזית
לא התקרבה אל העיר. התחילו גשמי הסתיו ואתם הביצות, ומובן היה שבמשך החורף, שוב לא
תתקרב החזית. -- קמעא, קמעא, החלו להתרגל ולהתאים את עצמם למצב. השפעה מסוימת
