... בחלוקה השלישית של פולין — 1795 — עברה חמילניק לידי אוםטריה ונשארה תחת שלטונה עד 1809, ובאותה שנה סופחה לגסיכות ורשה. בשנים 1815 עד 1837 גכללה חמילניק ב״װיאבודזטבו״ סנדרומיז׳ של ממלכת פולין, ובשנים 1837— 1914 בגוברניה קילצה. נעשו נםױנות להפוך את חמילניק לעיר תעשיה, אולם לא הצליחו. גם במחצית הראשונה של המאה ה־19 — דװקא בתקופה שתיעוש פולין הלך וגדל, בניגוד ליתר הערים בפולין שהרחיבו את שטחן וםיתחו בגיה מורחבת, התעכבה ״הװיאבודזטבו״ םאנדומיז׳ ובכללה חמילניק, בפיתוחה החיצוגי.
